How to Convert DDS to TGA

DDS and TGA both originate from the game development world, but they serve opposite ends of the same pipeline — DDS is the GPU-ready format used at runtime, while TGA is the more editable, widely supported working format used by texture artists in art tools. Converting DDS back to TGA is the reverse of the more common TGA-to-DDS workflow, typically done when a finished texture needs to be edited, repainted, or repurposed outside the original engine.
