How to Convert PNG to PCX

PCX is one of the oldest bitmap formats still in occasional use, originally popularized by MS-DOS paint programs in the early 1980s, long before PNG existed. It stores image data with RLE (run-length encoding) compression, a simple lossless method that works well on images with large areas of solid color but less efficiently than PNG's more modern compression on detailed graphics. PCX supports color depths from 1 to 24 bits per pixel but doesn't support PNG's alpha channel transparency.
